The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Collier County is pleased to announce the kickoff meeting for their upcoming 2010 NAMI Walk. The luncheon is cost-free to attendees and will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, February 5th at the Hilton Hotel. The purpose of the meeting is to learn how to support the Walk by forming a Walk team or through corporate sponsorship.

The event to “Unmask Mental Illness” is NAMI of Collier County’s eighth annual fundraising Walk, which will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Cambier Park in Naples. The Grand Marshal is actor Greg Vaughn, formerly “Lucky Spencer” of ABC TV’s General Hospital and soon to appear on 90210.

The Naples Hilton is located at 5111 Tamiami Trail North.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness is a non-partisan, self-help support and advocacy organization with over 1100 state and local affiliates of consumers, families and friends of persons living with mental illness. NAMI of Collier County was founded in 1990 and, among other notable distinctions, was recipient of the National Affiliate of the Year award.
